1. ChemCare Impact Teams: Building with Collaboration
One of our most exciting initiatives this year has been the launch of ChemCare Impact Teams, a program designed to foster collaboration, curiosity, and adaptability within our workforce. Inspired by our CEO Jamie’s decade-long involvement with Collective Intelligence, this initiative aims to create a stronger sense of belonging at ChemCare.
The idea began as a conversation between Jamie and Ian Harvey, founder of Collective Intelligence, about bringing the values of collaboration and mutual growth into our organisation. The result is a voluntary program where employees meet in facilitated offsite sessions three times a year, supported by team representatives who encourage ongoing communication and accountability between sessions.
The impact has been remarkable:

Feedback loops have strengthened internal communication.
A greater sense of community has emerged across the company.
As we move into 2025, we look forward to expanding and refining this program to drive even greater engagement and teamwork.
2. Introducing CommCare: Expanding Our Offerings
In October, we were proud to expand our specialised sub-brands with the launch of CommCare, a new service designed to meet the evolving needs of our customers. CommCare joins our existing brands:

FoodCare: Delivering food-grade storage and distribution.
PharmaCare: Offering tailored logistics solutions for the pharmaceutical and retail sectors.

3. ChemCare Staff Celebration: 20 Years of Excellence
In September, we were proud to celebrate a significant milestone—our Compliance Manager, Graeme McElroy, marked 20 years with ChemCare!
Graeme joined ChemCare in 2004 as a storeman, and throughout his career, he has contributed to nearly every aspect of our operations. From inwards goods and inventory to health and safety, operations, and compliance, Graeme’s journey reflects his dedication and passion for hazardous goods logistics.
With a deep commitment to compliance, particularly in the hazardous goods space, Graeme has helped set the standard for excellence. His unmatched knowledge and skillset have been instrumental in maintaining ChemCare’s reputation as a leader in compliance and safety.
A Hidden Talent
What many may not know about Graeme is his remarkable talent for darts. Competing professionally, he achieved incredible success:

4. Leading in Hazardous Goods Compliance
WorkSafe’s heightened focus on hazardous goods compliance has been a key theme this year, with an emphasis on secondary containment and separation distances. These measures are essential for mitigating risks, protecting the environment, and ensuring workplace safety.

Secondary Containment Systems: Ensuring bunds and spill containment systems are correctly sized and maintained for the chemicals they store.
Segregation and Separation: Maintaining compliant distances between incompatible substances and ensuring separation from protected and public places.
